Tū Manawa – Active Aotearoa

Tū Manawa – Active Aotearoa

We are not currently accepting any new applications for our Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa Fund or our Top Up Fund until further notice.

We repurposed this funding to provide financial support for the sport, active recreation and play sector to assist in cyclone recovery.

Along with other funders, including Sport NZ, the Department of Internal Affairs, Trust Tairāwhiti, and Eastern and Central Community Trust, we have been able to distribute close to $300,000 to help with travel expenses, structural damage and activation. It was important that we could provide fast relief and support our community after the cyclone. This has resulted in us exhausting our fund.

We will update our website once we have reopened the fund, which we anticipate will be around July 2023.

With this funding, we have been able to support the following groups:

  • Badminton Eastland
  • BMX Club
  • Comet Swim Club
  • Enterprise Swim Club
  • Farmyard Early Childhood Centre
  • Gisborne Basketball Association
