Good Sports Developer Workshop

We are teaming up with Aktive – Auckland Sport & Recreation and Sport NZ to present a Good Sports Developer Workshop.
This interactive workshop will be aimed at key adult influencers within your organisation and will give them the insights and skills to help create positive sporting experiences for our children by addressing the current issues they face within their codes.
Good Sports is all about creating positive sporting experiences for children. It does this by supporting and educating the key adult influencers in children’s sport: parents, caregivers, coaches, teachers and sport leaders.
Both practitioners and researchers supporting Good Sports agree that many issues in children’s sport stem from adult involvement. These issues include poor side-line behaviour, overuse injury, burnout and disaffection with sport – and they can hinder success on and off the field.
To address these issues and give children the best chance of developing a lifelong love of sport, Good Sports focuses on raising adults’ awareness about their behaviours in children’s sport and, if necessary, promoting a positive shift in that behaviour.
This workshop is free.
Register for the workshop before Monday 15th March, so we can make it tailor-made.
